Ultra Award for Royal Victoria MSCP
The multimillion-pound refurbishment of the Royal Victoria MSCP has been recognised by the Considerate Constructors Scheme and was awarded an ‘Ultra Site’ award in London on Friday 1st May at The Brewery London.
The CCS was set up to provide a platform for the general public, contractors and clients to raise awareness and standards across a number of key areas.

The CCS helps raise construction standards by independently monitoring and scoring sites, highlighting, accountability and improving industry performance. It not only looks at the site wide environment but also those outside and the impact within the wider community.
Key elements are regular site visits, clear performance and promoting of continuous improvement across the sector. There is a clear strong focus on Environmental responsibility and community engagement.
The CCS currently monitor over £219bn worth of construction activity carrying out over 8000 monitoring visits per year coupled with over 39,000 hours of CPD training.
The CCS Ultra Award was launched in 2018 and recognises excellence through its annual National Site Awards. The ‘Ultra’ status represents the highest level of attainment in the scheme and recognise sites that go beyond the standard registration to achieve unprecedented levels of Considerate Construction.
One key ingredient is the integration of the complete supply chain into the code of Considerate practice and further recognises those projects where a high degree of collaboration between the client, main contractor and supply chain have raised the industry standard.
Recipients of the award have been investigated and monitored against 3 key pillars. Respect the Community, Care for the Environment and Value of Workforce.
The Royal Tunbridge team lead by Baxall Construction site agent Lukman Olasunkanmi was on hand to receive the coveted award presented at The Brewery London. The host of the awards was none other than renown comedian Paul Sinner, no stranger to the awards scene has presented previously at the British Parking Awards. Paul famous for his appearances on TV show The Chase provides humorous anecdotes on life being a qualified GP, a gay married man with Parkinsons, as well as the life and insights of a comedian. Paul interventions punctuated proceedings and moved things along at a pace and was perhaps the most photographed person on the day.
The Royal Victoria team were invited on stage in recognition of their contribution to the project.
“I would like to offer my congratulations to Lukman, the Baxall Team and was honoured to be invited to represent the subcontractors on the project”.
