Makers Appoint New Director
Makers are delighted to announce the promotion of William McCrimmon to the position of Regional Construction Director.
When Willy joined Makers back in July 2016 his role was mainly within the car park arena using his repair and resin knowledge, however with the development of the company’s 3 divisions he has now overseen major projects across all 3 in Roofing, Structural Refurbishment & Car Park Refurbishment.
Willy spearheaded “The Watergarden Project” in Edgware London which in 2019 was recognised by the NFRC winning “ Liquid Project of the Year’ and followed that up by scooping “Special Project of the Year” from the LRWA, as well as reaching the finals of the BPA Awards for the 70,000m2 project in Basingstoke for the car park refurbishment at Festival Place in the Best Refurbishment category.

During his tenure Willy has continued to develop his team that mainly operates in the South but with Makers Roofing Division growing from strength to strength has overseen all 4 phases of the roofing installation at the Lakeside Shopping Centre covering some 60,000m2.

A keen novice golfer and avid rugby fan Willy enjoys following his beloved WASPS and is always available for a spot in the box at Twickenham. Married to Jane for 28 years along with his 2 children Willy has a strong family ethic which is evident in his approach and management style towards his site teams and is reflected in the results he has achieved.
“It’s been an immensely enjoyable learning experience and I’ve been supported all the way, I’ve won awards for some great projects which wouldn’t be possible without the site teams around me and the boys and girls at Head Office…. I’ve learnt so much about the job and myself and the time has just flown by…. I am sure I can rise to the next challenge as everyone has a collective approach so I am excited to see what the future brings..
