Golfers get the Royal Treatment from Fosroc

Kings CourseThe great and the good within the concrete repair industry gathered in support of the Fosroc Constructive Solutions golf day. Golfers were greeted with traditional bacon roles and coffee much needed for the quest ahead and were then introduced to their respective team members before taking on the Kings Course.

The original layout was constructed and designed in 1994 consisting of 4 nine hole loops designed by Karl Litten the architect responsible for the icon design of the Emirates layout in Dubai home to the race to Dubai competed for on the European tour now known as the DP world Tour.

Fosroc Goodie BagSet in 456 rolling acres of Warwickshire the Club now consists of 2 championship courses; the Earls and the Kings as well as the Castle academy course. Competitors were presented with a Fosroc gift bag consisting of branded golf towel, tees, marker and a sleeve of balls very handy for tackling the course of the day 6553 yards of the yellow tees.

Makers team10 teams of 4 competed in the AM AM stableford format requiring 2 contributing scores form 4 players as well as separate individual stableford competitions for both invited guests and Fosrco employees. Teams of four were a mixture of Fosroc employees and guests providing an opportunity to network.

Joe MarlerIn anticipation of expectant Silverware Makers sent out two of its most competent players, having tasted victory the previous year on the Brabazon at the Belfry the two young guns had plenty to live up too!

This was the first time Fosroc had hosted their event at the Warwickshire and everyone was highly complimentary of the condition and facilities available.

Matt Bromley WinnerOn a glorious sunny day this American styled parkland course took its toll shattering many expectant players hopes but they say cream rises to the top and Matt Bromley of Fosroc was victorious for a second year running amassing a creditable 38 points, and for the guests Grant Watson of Fressyinet playing off 6 carded an excellent 43 points to take 1st place.

Jack RimmerDespite there being 5 team prizes the Makers boys playing off 3 and 6 struggled to make their ability count and were unable to steer their team to victory carding 33 points each but considering where some of their play took them it looks like 33 points each was a miracle!!

BBQA full BBQ was enjoyed by all with excellent hospitality provided by Fosroc and a great day was had by all. We would like to extend our thanks to Fosroc for their invitation which provided a great opportunity to rekindle old relationships and we offer our congratulations to all the winners.

These events take a lot of hard work so we would also like to recognise Hazel Lowe of Fosroc for her efforts and co-ordination in making this day possible, many thanks the boys had a great day.
