Built in part on the historic site of Blackfriars Monastery and replacing the former Blackfriars Shopping Centre, Crowngate Shopping Centre is Worcester’s largest shopping centre located in the heart of the city.

Home to many well-known retail brands such as House of Fraser, Primark and a host of restaurants and café’s. It also houses the city’s bus station and a safe and secure 750 space car park which is open 24/7.

The 750 space car park is located above the bus station and level 1 and 2 over occupied decks were seeping rain water through to the lower ground bus station causing damage to the structure. Makers were awarded the contract after winning the tendering process.

The car park refurbishment was an ideal time to reassess the layout and it allowed for redesign of bay locations. The disabled bays and the newly created accessible bays were relocated nearer to the shops and now provide parking for not only parent and child or qualified blue badge holders, but for anyone who may require easier accessibility.
