Makers attend Resapol Foundation Launch
In what can only be described as unforgiving weather conditions, Resapol invited Clients and specifiers to the launch of their newly created charity the Resapol Foundation at Stockport Golf Club.
The idea behind the foundation is to give back to local communities in areas where Resapol has a presence. Located across the UK in it’s 8 depots which are strategically placed to satisfy the need for national coverage, including two super centres and dedicated builders merchant support centre, from Glasgow to London the depots are ideally located to provide next day delivery where possible.
The founders of Resapol; Sean Ofsarnie and Lloyd Phillips have spent two decades building up their merchant business and after 5 years of planning have been able to launch the Resapol Foundation.
“The purpose behind the foundation is to promote community spirit at a local level, giving the opportunity for those within our working community to approach us for help and assistance with certain projects and events that bring both communities closer together. As well as a proportion of sales of certain product lines diverted to the charity, we hope that others will take up the mantle and do a sponsored event in aid of the foundation”.

Sean a keen golfer was determined to get the great and the good to dig deep with team competitions and ‘beat the pro’ opportunities.
Stockport Golf Club is renowned for one of the finest layouts in Northern England and its condition on the day was truly spectacular despite the poor weather experienced just days before.
Invited guests were greeted by the Resapol team all sporting their newly rebranded Galvin Green soft-shell jackets which were highly prized on the day and very appropriate for the playing conditions.
Despite the intermittent rain and wind storm, some good golf was achieved with Makers own Steve Warner finding himself in the winning team, despite the shock of the announcement, closely followed by Simon Lamb Managing Director of Makers who was the only player who managed to beat the pro on the par 3 16th.
“Lloyd and Sean have been incredibly generous today hosting this golfing event, from the goodie bags, through to the prize table. I am very grateful to be asked as I am sure the event would have been in high demand. Their foundation is a fabulous indictment to both of them and I feel honoured to be at the Foundation Launch which is very personal to both of them… I am more utterly shocked at winning “beat the pro competition” luckily for me he missed the green and I thinned one on. Not my best shot but there’s no pictures on a scorecard!!
