Charity Begins at Home

newsMakers recently participated in a local Charity Drive by sponsoring a golf tournament.

Many local charities were assisted by local business providing some much needed funds to carry out their good work.

The event was held at Branston Golf and Country Club where many different events were held including a log race through the murky brooks and ponds on the course.

“Makers have also supported charitable events but over the last couple of years we imagine it has been even more critical given the economic climate for the charities to raise funds.
We are finding more and more people requesting help but we tend to stay local which is part of our ethos and returning something back to the community.”

Stuart Rooker – Finance Director
