Jeff Brazier - Makers Sponsor - edited

Intu Marketing TeamAfter an accumulation of votes cast by the General Public who visited the brand outlets across both intu Victoria Nottingham and intu Broadmarsh Nottingham together with their local radio partner Gem AM all the winners were finally announced at the Revolucion de Cuba Club in Nottingham.

Hosted and compared by the Post Code Lottery presenter Jeff Brazier ensured that this year’s awards ceremony created a party atmosphere to celebrate the winners of the 15 categories on offer. Megan Griffin, intus Marketing co-ordinator was on hand to present the awards and certificates to the winners.

Manager of the Year Award

Makers having been involved with the refurbishment of both the multi-storey car parks at Nottingham Victoria site sponsored the “Manager of the Year” for the Victoria Centre. Framed certificates were provided to Shaun Carter from Tortilla in 3rd place, 2nd was Katie Steels of Argento and in 1st place was Gina Steed from Chisholm Hunter who also received a glass trophy.

With close to 300 attendees avidly awaiting for the results, everyone was delighted, taking time to walk the red carpet, receive their award and have photos taken with the debonair Jeff Brazier.

Intu Retailer of the Year WinnersThroughout the event several names kept cropping up indicating that their customer service was first rate and that the general public had a real attachment to the brands and outlets.  As you can imagine these awards cover a whole host of outlets but it’s the general public who vote so winning is very special.

Nottingham Street Food Club were particularly successful appearing 4 times on stage and winning both “Food and Drink” and “Independent Retailer of the Year”, but they were outdone by the impressive ladies of John Lewis & Partners who made 6 appearances on stage winning the 2 most coveted awards on the night of “World Class Customer Service” and “Retailer of the Year”.

John Lewis Trophy“We were immensely impressed with all the winners and to secure votes from the general public is never an easy thing to do. John Lewis smashed it out of the park and there are obvious lessons to learn from them, we offer our total congratulations to them”

cuban dancerThe awards create brand awareness, they provide the opportunity to reward our very best retailers, we appreciate their efforts and customer service and it is at the heart of what we do tonight in an accumulation of that and the ability to celebrate and let your hair down… We appreciate Makers contribution and without our sponsors it wouldn’t be possible”
