Makers Construction Supports LRWA AGM and Members’ Meeting

As a longstanding and proactive member of the LRWA, Makers Construction continues to demonstrate its commitment to advancing innovation, encouraging collaboration, and promoting best practices within the roofing industry. Supporting events such as this AGM reinforces Makers’ dedication to shaping the future of waterproofing by addressing evolving standards, technologies, and client expectations.

Chaired by LRWA Chairman Gary Hemming and CEO Sarah Spink, the event brought together contractors, manufacturers, and industry professionals to discuss the latest sector developments and align on strategic priorities for the year ahead. With extensive expertise in roofing refurbishment and liquid-applied systems, Makers Construction remains focused on strengthening the collaboration between specialist contractors and the LRWA ensuring a unified and forward-looking voice for the industry.

As the industry evolves, Makers continues to lead in areas such as sustainability and workforce upskilling. The company also remains actively engaged with critical legislation, including the technical implications of the Building Safety Act 2022, reinforcing its role in improving building safety and compliance standards across the UK.

During the AGM, Makers Construction was delighted to welcome Rob Vass of Tapered Plus and Craig Holden of Polyroof to the LRWA Board of Directors. During the meeting, LRWA CEO Sarah Spink was delighted to hear about Makers current work at the Trafford Centre in Manchester, a 17,000m² project involving the overlay of existing single ply with Sikalastic-625N liquid system. Commenting on the project, Sarah said:
“This demonstrates the ideal application of liquid technologies and shows why it’s the fastest-growing sector in roofing.”
